About Diabetes Clarity
Clear, practical information for everyday life with diabetes.

Hi, I’m Andrew
I live with type 2 diabetes, and I started Diabetes Clarity because I know first-hand how confusing it can be. After a diagnosis you’re handed a lot of information all at once: what to eat, what to avoid, what your numbers mean. Much of it is either too technical or contradicts the last thing you read.
This site is my way of cutting through that. I wanted one place with plain-English information, real food and simple daily menus that make living with diabetes feel more manageable, for me and for you.
What you’ll find here
🍽️ Daily menus
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks planned around balanced plates, sensible carbohydrate amounts and low-GI choices, so you’re not starting from scratch every day.
🥗 Recipes & food
Everyday recipes using ingredients from Australian supermarkets, with carbs listed in grams and tips on swaps that keep meals satisfying.
📘 Plain-English info
Straightforward articles on understanding blood glucose, HbA1c, reading food labels, staying active and the everyday questions that come with diabetes.
Why “Clarity”?
Because that’s what I was looking for. Diabetes is a long game, and small, consistent choices add up. My goal is to make those choices easier: clear information, food you’ll actually want to eat, and the reassurance that you’re not doing this alone.
Please note: I’m sharing my own experience and general information, not medical advice. Everyone’s diabetes is different. Always talk to your GP, endocrinologist, diabetes educator or dietitian before changing your diet, exercise or medication. For trusted Australian resources, visit Diabetes Australia.
Thanks for being here. I hope Diabetes Clarity makes your day a little easier.
